Oshin felt very authentic and I was very impressed with the service and quality of the dishes we received. The tempura udon was perfect with bouncy chewy noodles with expertly fried tempura veg and seafood. The sashimi bento was very fresh and generously portioned. Highly recommended if you looking for an authentic experience outside Japan in Brisbane.

We had dinner last night later in the evening and had a pleasant time. However, we were rushed to order and also to get out of there. The food was okay but not amazing. The bento box was good value and the beets were served cold

Went and ordered Oyakudon for Takeaway right in middle of lunch rush. In short was decent and well cooked. I particularly liked the addition of the shitake mushrooms compared to the same dish from elsewhere. I particularly liked the addition of the Miso Soup. Will be coming back again for sure to try some of their other dishes in future!

We had a great meal here. Real Japanese food by authentic Japanese staff. Tasty. Plentiful. The best Japanese restaurant we’ve found in Brisbane. Friendly staff. Will definitely return!

A relaxed venue with decent food. I paid $80 to sit on plastic chairs, with a menu presented in an office works ring binder, so I can't give 5 stars, but I enjoyed both the food and sake so its a solid 4. Service was quick. You might need a plan for what to do after you finish, where to go next. You can watch the food being prepared for mild entertainment.

I recently visited this Japanese restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi and sashimi. The freshness and presentation were clearly a step above your average Japanese spot. Sashimi was smooth, clean-tasting, and beautifully plated, showing that the chef takes real pride in both skill and sourcing. You can tell they use premium ingredients, and that’s probably why the prices are on the higher end but honestly, it feels justified for the quality you’re getting. The overall ambience is decent. It’s not overly fancy or dramatic, but it’s comfortable enough for a nice lunch or dinner out. The lighting and layout make it feel intimate without being cramped. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the whole lunch, checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive, which definitely added to the experience. That said, there’s a little room for improvement. The tempura, for instance, could use some refinement. The batter was a bit thick and heavy, which took away from the light, crisp texture that tempura should have. It also didn’t come with grated radish on the side, which I personally think is a small but important detail that enhances the balance of the dish. Well, It’s a great spot if you’re after high-grade sushi and sashimi and don’t mind paying a bit more for quality.
